SMYRNA RUGS
The carpets and rugs woven in Smyrna are of large sizes, loose in texture, simple in colouring and design. Patterns are geometrical. Smyrna is more a centre for carpet dealing than for carpet weaving. In the United States " Smyrna carpets " are factory-made chenille structures.
